POSITION SUMMARY
The President & Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), under the guidance and direction of the Board of Directors, is the leader of D.A. Blodgett - St. Johns (“DABSJ”) who is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of DABSJ, the oversight and positive outcomes of all programs, services, and activities, as well as the fiscal health, structural soundness, and philanthropic growth of the organization. As the leader of DABSJ, the CEO plays a key role in setting the tone and culture of the organization. The CEO is committed to developing and implementing a comprehensive anti-racism and inclusion strategy to ensure that those within the organization, and those the organization serves, are treated equitably and inclusively in the work of our mission.The CEO has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the organization and will foster an environment of trust, accountability, and excellence. Accounting Manager
West Michigan Partnership for Children (WMPC) administers foster care services to children and families in Kent County, MI in partnership with Bethany Christian Services, Catholic Charities West Michigan, D.A. Blodgett—St. John’s, Samaritas, and Wellspring Lutheran Services.WMPC executes an innovative performance-based funding model through a contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), utilizing a capitated allocation payment mechanism that allows for savings generated from practice and program improvements to be reinvested into the foster care system. WMPC utilizes software that allows for predictive analytics to inform strategy and practice, and to flag cases that are at risk for further review. Child Welfare Kinship Family Advocate
Position Summary:
Kinship Family Advocates will work in collaboration with the Michigan State University School of Social Work Kinship Care Resource Center (KCRC) to implement an Enhanced Kinship Navigator service model for kinship caregivers in two of eight Michigan counties. This is a multi-organization partnership referred to as MichiKIN. The primary functions of this role include providing high level direct services to kinship caregivers, participating in continuous quality improvement activities, and engaging in community outreach and education.
Qualifications
Masters in social work (MSW) with a minimum of one-year post-master's degree experience. Licensed Master's in social work (LMSW) preferred.
Must have practice experience using a strength based approach assessing individuals/families
Knowledge of the child welfare system
Computer skills sufficient to learn project-specific software for data entry as well as all case note entry and follow-up
Bilingual, Fluent in English and Spanish or Arabic or Chinese (Mandarin), or American Sign Language desired
Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and ability to travel to perform in-home and related family-centered meetings
Responsibilities
Conduct caregiver visits, collect documentation, and develop a strengths-based, culturally responsive, and family-entered written assessment and plan or service
Provide culturally aligned support and guidance to kinship families to navigate various systems (child welfare, education, health) relevant to caregiver goals
Evaluates and assesses current and immediate needs of kinship caregivers relating to families' goals and needs on an ongoing basis
Collect data on kinship caregiver goal progress over time to determine whether desired outcomes are met
Broker the connection of individuals/families with goods, services and supports;
Write and submit research-based educational materials and articles for KCRC distribution.
Assist in distribution of emergency funding
Complete and maintain written documentation about case activity accurately, within established time frames and following policy and procedures.
Participate in county specific events and collaboratives for outreach, public education, and to support kinship families.
Support the kinship navigation intervention activities performed through call center as needed.
Work hours: 37.5 hrs. weekly. Travel throughout Ingham and Eaton Counties as well as surrounding areas for local events

Explore an opportunity to join a team of highly qualified professionals with specializations in trauma treatment with children, youth and families. We are seeking motivated individuals with experience providing direct clinical behavioral health services.
Responsibilities:
Understand the philosophy of strength-based treatment, Core Values and trauma-informed, resilience-focused treatment modalities employed at Starr Commonwealth in working with youth and families.
Utilize developmentally-appropriate, attachment-based, industry-standard, specialized approaches to trauma-informed, resilience-focused treatment.
Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development.
Be aware of and adhere to the Michigan Child Protection Law, especially as it relates to the mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse and/or neglect. Be aware and adhere to the Office of Recipient Rights reporting and conduct requirements.
Protect the confidentiality for all consumers of the program consistent with the laws pertaining to confidentiality of the State of Michigan as well as Federal HIPAA laws.
Develop and monitor client centered service plans consistent with the individual goals.
Enter information into appropriate systems, internal and external, in a timely and accurate manner.
Deliver Behavioral Health services consistent with our standards of practice, including the facilitation of intake and discharge interviews with clients.
Build positive caring relationships with clients based on respect, trust and appropriate communication.
Meet or exceed standard of delivering direct billable service 50% of total service time.
Manage client caseload effectively, including opening and closing cases, and communication to minimize cancellations or no-shows.

Early Childhood Attachment Therapist
POSITION SUMMARY: Early Childhood Attachment Services is designed to provide home based parent-infant support and clinical intervention (i.e. therapy) services to families where the parent’s condition and life circumstances, or the characteristics of the infant/toddler, threaten the parent- infant/toddler attachment and consequent social, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development of the infant/toddler. Services are designed to reduce the incidence and prevalence of abuse, neglect, developmental delays, behavioral issues, and emotional disturbances.
Pay Range: $49,920.00- $55,295.00
Foster Care Specialist
The Foster Care Specialist shall hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human behavioral science, education or a related field. Experience in a professional setting with youth and families strongly preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills, professionalism, organizational skills and comfort with computer technology/database entry is required.
Appropriate candidate for this position must have the ability to handle stress well, have the ability to be an active listener with good clinical observation and evaluation skills, be flexible and able to handle change, be a team player yet able to work independently, able to multi-task, and maintain case responsibility and follow-through with multiple competing demands. The Foster Care Specialist candidate should demonstrate a commitment to the safety and well-being of children and families with the primary goal of ensuring that families have the tools and services needed to achieve reunification. Knowledge of available community resource for, and comfort working with, individuals facing challenges associated with substance abuse, mental health, cognitive/developmental disabilities, domestic violence, poverty, homelessness and trauma is required.
Candidate may not have been convicted of child abuse or neglect, a felony involving harm or threatened harm to an individual within the 10 years immediately preceding the date of hire, or be listed on the central registry as a perpetrator of child abuse or child neglect. The Foster Care Specialist shall possess a valid Driver’s License, positive driving record and proof of automobile insurance.
Post Adoption Center Repository Program Director
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The National Post Adoption Center is a new five year grant at Spaulding for Children. This position will oversee one aspect of the project- the repository. The grant requires Spaulding to develop a repository of knowledge and best practice related to post adoption. This repository will become a hub for information on promising and evidence-informed practices designed to support families after adoption/guardianship/kinship placement. The repository will contain information developed by the grant partners and consultants as well as link to information already developed. The repository will house tools, best practice guides, catalogue of programs, and state survey information. The repository will also contain community peer groups that adoption professionals can join to promote shared learning. This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing the repository to ensure that it is dynamic, meets the needs of adoption professionals and constantly provides new and updated information on post permanency information. The Repository Program Director will work in close collaboration with Spaulding staff, partners and consultants involved with this program- providing leadership around the repository. The Repository Program Director will participate in all partner calls and will work on other areas of the project as assigned.

Clinician (Bilingual-Spanish Speaking), Transitional Foster Care
Position Summary
The Unaccompanied Children (UC) Transitional Foster Care (TFC) Therapist conducts mental health assessments, provides ongoing individual and group counseling services, screens for human trafficking concerns, and provides crisis intervention services.
Education: A Master’s degree in social work or a related field in human services from an accredited college is required.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of post-master's program experience in child and family services or counseling preferred.
Broad knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of social work as acquired through a master's level degree required.
Bilingual Spanish/English fluency is preferred.
A minimum of one year experience working with children and families from diverse cultures with sensitivity to cultural difference and norms required.
The New Foster Care’s (TNFC) is a 501c (3) non-profit organization based out of Oakland County launched in 2016. Our mission is to make a transformative change in the Michigan Foster Care system and a measurable and meaningful impact in the lives of youth who have experienced foster care. The New Foster Care’s focus is to assist young people with experience in foster care to change the trajectory of their lives; as well as to positively impact the foster care system that serves them by advocating for innovative programming and policy and legislative reform.
TNFC provides direct service to our youth through the Bridge program, a comprehensive transitional support model serving youth and emerging adults (ages 14 to 29), assisting them to achieve greater self-sufficiency and attain their goals along five life transition domains (Employment & Career, Living Situation, Educational Opportunity, Community Life Functioning, Personal Effectiveness & Wellbeing). Our multidisciplinary teamwork with the young person to develop and implement a successful life plan.

The Personal Wellness Coach serves to provide outpatient therapy, counseling and support to our clients experiencing difficulties with mental and behavioral health. This position often includes coordinating care with the client’s key players, navigators, peer support specialist, other community mental health professionals, psychiatrist, and primary care physicians to assist with obtaining treatment goals.
Director of Transition Services
The Director of Transition Services is responsible for ensuring the successful day-to-day operation of all TNFC transition services programs, delivery of quality services to clients, and development/expansion of programming to meet the needs of the population served. The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience developing, implementing, and growing a program across counties; defining program goals and outcomes; and maintaining fidelity to the underlying program model. The Director of Transition Services will be responsible for defining, collecting, and analyzing data points to ensure programs are meeting identified milestones and outcome expectations. In addition, the Director will manage program staff, providing appropriate training, case assignment, and performance evaluation.
Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant works under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director. The Senior Accountant will input and prepare financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
3 to 5 years’ experience required, preferably in a nonprofit agency.
Previous compliance risk experience preferred.

Community Based Services Therapist
A Community Based Services Therapist at Eagle Village provides intensive clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, with identified mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.
